WOW! A Soft Off Control with a two wire hookup!
This module is manufactured right here in New York City, using the best
components we could find, not the cheapest.
It is only a two wire hookup! We kept this as simple as possible
to make it easy for you to get this in with the least amount of time!
Operation:
Please refer to the wiring diagram. This module is designed to work with an
interior lamp that is always "hot" and the door switch provides ground.
If you have something else, please call!
When you open the door, the NC switch provides ground and the interior lamps come on.
The module takes over when you close the door.
The lighting level gets just a bit dimmer. This lets you know the module is working.
The light level holds for about 4 seconds, then starts to fade for about 4 seconds,
and goes out.
Pricing: The module is $44.97, postpaid.
If you are in NYS, as you know, we MUST collect the sales tax. Please add
correct amount.
Limitations:
The module has been redesigned to handle heavier loads.
Although the power transistor is rated to 20 Amps, you should really limit the load to not more than
3 Amps as heat starts to become an issue. At 2 1/2 amps for 8 seconds, the transistor
is really hot! Also, the two wire hook up design we selected, while easy to hook up, has
its own limitations: the door has to be open for about 6 or 7 seconds for the module to
properly reset. Any less than that, it shuts down much sooner, and you will not get
the full 8 seconds.
All units have been tested and run to insure your
complete satisfaction.
